The Central Illinois Ry begins their day as they depart their home base and prepare to pick up a load of bricks from Colonial.
The recently repaired 1206 is now doing the honors downtown, pictured here picking up a pair of empties at Domino Sugar.
Soon to be side lined 1208 smokes it up as the crew makes the run up the hill toward the BNSF. With 7 scrap loads and the switcher at less then 1/2 its strength, no telling what damage is constant... (more)
While charging the line for a brake test, I took advantage of our tardiness to shoot us with the skyline and convenient NS train in the background.
Our "colorful" ex-BRC SW1200 switches some sugar cars at Domino Sugar along the Chicago Ship Canal. This is more or less a photo op available only to the train crew.
